EVERY LITTLE STEP I TAKE - DETROIT 5K WALK

On August 15, 2026, Gakobe Strong Foundation brought the “Every Little Step I Take” 5K Walk to Detroit, bringing family, friends, supporters, and community partners together to honor Gakobe’s legacy and raise awareness for families affected by cancer. The day was filled with love, remembrance, community, and purpose.

EVERY LITTLE STEP I TAKE - SNELLVILLE 5K WALK

On March 28, 2026, Gakobe Strong Foundation hosted the “Every Little Step I Take” 5K Walk in Snellville, Georgia, bringing together family, friends, supporters, and community members to honor Gakobe’s legacy and support the foundation’s mission. The day reflected love, remembrance, strength, and community coming together for a meaningful purpose.

Following the walk, the celebration continued with a special band performance by SGHS Band, featuring music by one of Gakobe’s favorite artists, Drake—a meaningful moment that brought his spirit and memory into the day.

On May 9, 2026, Gakobe Strong Foundation hosted “Walking in His Legacy,” a Mother-Son Sneaker Ball created to celebrate love, family, legacy, and the special bond between mothers and sons. The evening brought families together for a meaningful night of celebration while honoring Gakobe’s memory and the lasting impact of his life.
